Bunker Survey

Bunker survey is carried out by measuring the ullages of ship’s tanks in order to determine amount of fuel and lubricants on board the vessel. Bunker survey is carried out in case of:
— Bunkering (for checking of the received oil quantity)
— Time Charter start/end (On/Off-hire)
— Ship purchase/selling.

Basing of the volumes and temperatures measurements a surveyor calculates weight of each oil type. For weight calculation the oil density is used. The oil density is to be got from bunkering receipts which had been received by Chief Engineer after the last bunkering operations.
