Hold Inspection

Holds/hatches inspection is performed before start of vessel loading.
Vessel holds and hatches must be clean and dry. Neither remnants of previous cargoes nor flakes of rust or old paint on bottom or on walls are acceptable.

During the inspection, closure-opening of the holds hatch covers is performed to check both efficiency of the closing mechanisms of the holds and absence of any contamination falling from hatch covers.

If the hold inspection performs as a part of On/Off-hire survey, the particular attentions is put on technical condition of bulkheads, sides, framing, tanktop, ladders, hatchcover coamings, sealings, hinges, manholes and ventilation ducts.
